Art, culture, and community engagement are not extras added after the science is done. They are strategic instruments embedded from the start — drawing attention, building civic identity, creating reasons for ongoing stewardship, and establishing lasting cultural infrastructure. They make the invisible work of regeneration tangible and public. They give people a reason to come, to return, and to care.
